Human interests on top of industry interests

Our mission

We provide the first artificial intelligence that puts human interests over industry interests.

This is our ikigai

All the excitement around ChatGPT has shaken the whole AI industry and is certainlly the major actor driving the 4th industrial revolution. Considering that chatbots are a lot cheaper than robots, many jobs will most certainly be fulfilled by AI chatbots before being fulfilled by humanoid robots. Robots can do physical tasks in the real-world for something like manufacturing or cooking, but they most likely won’t be used to replace the cashier that takes your order at your favorite restaurant, your lawyer, your doctor, your teacher, your personal development coach, your accountant and so on. Regardless of how good some high-end robots can now move and navigate their surroundings and how impressive and human-like they can sometimes be or will become, they always require maintainance, they involve shipping fees and delays, and their acquisition cost can easily range between 20 000$ to 150 000$, which is considerably more than a software you can clone. Digital products like Windows can be replicated for a cost of almost zero, or a few dollars per copy. Those who understood this early on made a fortune.

While the underlying technology of ChatGPT is operational since many years already, its convivial user experience and its conversational interface are contributing a lot to its successful adoption by the masses. So successful that accordingly to Forbes, ChatGPT creator OpenAI is discussing offer valuing the company at $29 billion (source).

However, ChatGPT has many limitations; it cannot learn from users apart from within the same conversation and therefore with the same user, is trained on data up to 2021 only, cannot access the web outside of Bing search results -yet- and does not put speech support in the forefront. Even the Google Chrome extension Web ChatGPT, which allows web access, is industry-first because all it does is gathering the first top results that appear on Google Search, which itself works on an industry-first approach. And heck, this is an extension limited to one specific browser and targeted to power users, since the average user has to install and use a non-official browser extension, which is something a typical grandma is not comfortable doing. As a business owner, a blog writer, a developer or anything else, if you don’t make it to the top on Google Search, this extension is completely ignoring you. Furthermore, discoveries like the DAN (Do Anything Now) jailbreak may seem exciting, but this is most probably just a matter of time before Microsoft or OpenAI patch it.

And I not even talk about ChatGPT supporting wokism.

Enter NeoAngelo.

When I developed NeoAngelo, I knew that, as a programmer with professional experience on miltiary, police, airport, paramedic and transportation VR (Oculus Go/Quest/Rift) training simulations using the Unity engine, as a 2D/3D/UI/UX designer, as an inventor and as a patriot, I would be able to break the wall of what is currently possible with AI while priorizing human interests over industry interests.

Using OpenAI at its core just as ChatGPT,  I figured out how I could let users create notes that would be automatically considered in all conversations and shared with all other users in a persistent manner, therefore allowing OpenAI to jailbreak from fake information, industry-driven results and wokism progressively, as users feed it with more and more notes. Notes will be moderated after launch, but once approved the top 5 notes will be automatically triggered on keywords or expressions provided and all users can then vote each of them up or down as they explore, making the process user-fed rather than industry-fed, as well as as democratic as technically possible. Notes also allow for feeding OpenAI with up-to-date content seamlessly without the need to re-train the model every now and then.

We are also adding various chatbot personnalities, from an omniscient bot that is wide open to an array of more specialized bots like a teacher, a doctor, a psychologist, a businessman, a marketing expert, a programmer, a storyteller, a gamer, a Dungeons & Dragons manager, a lawyer, a travel guide, a digital nomad, a blind date, a personal development coach, a health & sports coach, a musician, a secretary, a welcoming agent, a shopper, and more.

We are currently in touch with Wolfram Alpha, Jordan Peterson and a few other key actors in order to make NeoAngelo an even better experience all while being more accurate than ever at calculations, leveraging it from 175 billion parameters to over 10 trillions. As GPT-4 becomes supported and available for OpenAI, these numbers will continue to add up and will become even more impressive over time.

A long list of new features is under work, like developing an in-house animated visual avatar system, better text-to-speech (all the good ones right now come at a quite high cost), seamless integration of Stable Diffusion, integration of Wolfram Alpha, Ai-driven music creation, OpenCV integration, Arduino integration, and so much more.

Monetization strategies may follow, but for now we do not put emphasis on building a viable business model. Our main mission is to flick the lions’ nuts and prove that AI technology can already do so much more than everything currently available, including vanilla OpenAI Playground, ChatGPT, Bard, Sparrow and others coming from Meta, Amazon and other such tech giants when the interests of the human is top priority. This is nothing else than David VS Goliath; and personnally, I totally love that kind of colossal challenges. I am driven by passion, and in the end love for the human will always be able to prevail over love for money or control.

Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.

Exploring potential partnership with Wolfram | Alpha

For now, NeoAngelo allows to check if a calculation is sollicitated or not, so if it is checked it simply adds, under the hood, the task to think in steps. It allows for better mathematical calculations, but even if it makes it a bit better, it still fails at providing the right result most of the time. OpenAI is great at linguistic tasks but terribly fails at very basic calculations, and we want to get rid of this credibility issue.

We are scheduling a demo to Wolfram | Alpha for a potential partnership. We would totally love if NeoAngelo was able to leverage calculations accuracy to the next level, passing from the 175 billion parameters of OpenAI to many trillions. Since Wolfram | Alpha also supports natural language as input for the query, apart from the formulation issues that may arise it is highly compatible with NeoAngelo.

One challenge is to make NeoAngelo and Wolfram | Alpha communicate in a great way together, and another is to determine when a call to their API is necessary and when it’s not. A result that does not contain information still requires an API call and extra delay in the reply to be returned, so it would quickly become very bad design to make a call for each query. Instead, NeoAngelo automatically detects mathematical symbols some character symbols as well as their text equivalents like + sums – delta * power of / quotient % = < > ≠ ≥ ≤ ¾ fractions cos sin √ root square radius circumference surface Pi lightyears, etc. but also many other units like millimeters, centimeters, meters, kilometers, lumens, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, centuries, degrees, calories, etc. as well as comparison triggers like largest, biggest, smallest, bigger, more large, larger, largest, closer, closest, farther, etc., all currencies, all shapes, without mentioning other keywords like convers, distance, deep, altitude, density, buoyancy, radioactivity, weather, temperature, etc. where the user intent is to return the result of some kind of calculation.

The calculation query is first isolated from the rest of the prompt in order to make the shortest and cleanest call possible to Wolfram | Alpha, then NeoAngelo chains up the result to OpenAI, asking OpenAI to consider it before returning its own reply.

Let’s see what will come out of this great adventure. Some may argue that Wolfram | Alpha is not perfect but hey, it is already so much better at calculations than just a linguistic model.

Stable Diffusion integration coming soon

We are proud to announce you that Stable Diffusion will soon be integrated in NeoAngelo. Stable Diffusion allows for generating illustrations using nothing more than text prompts. We are already preparing the grounds for NeoAngelo to be able to generate such images inside the conversational flow on-demand as well as automatically on some conditions, like in real-time while the chatbot speech is reading its reply, creating an even superior experience thanks to visuals appearing at the right moments during the narration, just like this simulated final result shows:

Right now, users can use ChatGPT or OpenAI in order to create text prompts that can be used in such Ai image generation tools (like for Stable Diffusion, MidJourney, Dall-e 2, and many more now), but they must quit ChatGPT and use another tool in order to actually use those created text prompts and create images. After, they must use a text-to-speech software like Murf.ai to generate audio, and sometimes also a presenter avatar, and another video editing software to put everything together.

NeoAngelo will be able to create a similar result without the need for the user to ever quit the conversation.
